Parents and Cheerleaders,

Welcome to the 2009 Season of Vikings Cheerleading.  This letter is to brief you on upcoming events prior to the start of the football season.

Important Dates

• Saturday, May 2^nd from 10am – 2pm

• August 3^rd – 5^th from 5pm – 7pm

• August 6^th – 7^th from 5pm – 7pm

• Saturday, September 5^th

Uniform Fitting

The uniform fitting will be on Saturday, May 2^nd from 10am – 2pm at Apollo Football Field.

The fitting should only take 15 minutes; this includes checking out and paying for your uniform.

Cheer Camp

We will be holding camp from August 3^rd – 7^th from 5pm – 7pm at Royal High School.

The first 3 days of camp will be for new cheerleaders only.  The girls will be learning:

• Hand motions
• Cheers they will be performing at the games

The last 2 days of camp will be for all cheerleaders (new and returning).  The girls will find out the teams they have been assigned to and work with their teammates.

Practices

After the completion of Cheer Camp, you will be having 2 - 3 practices a week with your individual teams.  The Cheers Mom’s will provide the practice schedules.  Practices usually coincide with the football teams practices.
